What will my registration and transfer costs be?
Buying a home means that you’ll incur various costs to cover the administration and registration of the transfer of the home into your name, and also in respect of the registration of a home loan.
In order to transfer the property into your name from the current owner, you’ll need to pay “transfer fees” to the conveyancing attorney. If you are obtaining a home loan to finance the purchase of the property, you’ll also need to pay “bond registration costs” to the bond attorney. These costs include the conveyancing attorneys fees, deeds office registration fees, FICA, post and petty charges, and initiation fees.
Our bond and transfer cost calculator will help you quantify these.
